Mountain Biking Colorado's Front Range: Great Rides in and Around Fort Collins, Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs
Published in Paperback by Pruett Publishing Co. (April, 2002)

WowThis is one of the best mountain biking books that I have ever read. I tested a few of the rides and found the descriptions to be accurate. I also enjoyed the sense of humor exhibited by the authors. Is that one of the Ryters on the cover? What a dashing figure!

Mountain Biking Colorado's LA Platas: Great Rides Between Durango and Telluride
Published in Paperback by Pruett Publishing Co. (July, 1995)
Average review score:

More than a cycling book!I liked all of the history and natural information. This book would be good for anyone, not just mountain bikers. A great place to vacation and better than Durango, though it's just over the hill from Durango. Mines, Indian ruins, mountains, aspen forests, what more could you want?

Mountain Biking Durango
Published in Digital by Falcon Publishing ()
Average review score:

Mtn biking Durango, and moreThis book does a fine job of giving the mountain biker many ideas for rides around town. But its real value is in the high-country rides, which abound in the San Juan Mountains surrounding Durango. I've also used this book for hiking and trail-running. You need an odometer to know exactly where you are on the ride in relation to the book, but on most trails that's not a problem. If there is a criticism of this book, it is that there are not enough easy rides. The author lists a few in the back, but not with much detail. Many of these rides are not for the beginner.

Mountain Biking Grand Junction and Fruita (2nd Edition)
Published in Paperback by Falcon Publishing Company (January, 2002)
Average review score:

The only one you NEED!This is another great book in the Falcon Guide series. I first used the Moab guide, then purchased this one before my first trip to Fruita. I was not disappointed. The maps are not the most informational ones out there, but they are more than adequate.

Mysteries & Miracles of Colorado: Guide Book to the Genuinely Bizarre
Published in Paperback by Rhombus Pub Co (01 December, 1989)
Average review score:

A neat, interesting bookThis book tells a number of stories about all kinds of bizarre aspects of Colorado history. There are ghost stories, tales of murder, mysteries of the supernatural, and other things. Among the stories it tells are Alferd Packer, Bridey Murphy, a number of different ghost stories, UFO tales, and such.
Though Colorado isn't especially known for having a colorful history of this kind, the author goes through the "annals of history" to dig up a bunch of intriguing, colorful mysteries. The author tells the stories in a very compelling fashion. - many of them would make excellent campfire tales. He also puts an historical spin on the older stories.
Although some are familiar (those dealing with UFOs and cattle mutilations in particular), he's able to make these tales sound fresh, new and interesting. A highly recommended book for all who are interested in supernatural phenomena or Colorado history.

Noteworthy Pubs, Taverns & Saloons of Colorado
Published in Paperback by Colorado Adventure Pubns (July, 1995)
Average review score:

Great guide book for unusual pubs all over ColoradoAfter reading this wonderful little book, my husband and I have started using this book for suggestions on day trips from the Teller County area. We have enjoyed some great beers and good food as well as atmosphere.
As a Crested Butte resident, Holly provides a detailed local's perspective to the best riding opportunities in this breathtaking region. I found each trail to be well documented with directions to the trailhead, detailed mileage logs and topographic maps.
As an added bonus, the guidebook was smartly designed to fit nicely into waterpacks.
